Overview

Periskope provides comprehensive data export capabilities that allow you to download various types of data from your account. You can export chat data, group member information, contact attributes, message history, ticket information, phone data, and more.

Analytics Data Exports

The primary method to access all export options in Periskope is through the Analytics section:

  1. Navigate to the left sidebar menu
  2. Click on Analytics
  3. Select Data Exports

This will take you to the Data Exports page where you can select from multiple export types.

Available Export Types

From the Analytics > Data Exports page, you can access the following export types:

Chats Export

Export complete chat history including timestamps and chat metadata. This includes options to choose between group and individual chats.

Members Export

Export comprehensive member data including roles, permissions, and account details. Useful for team management and auditing.

Messages Export

Export detailed message data including message body, timestamps, and metadata. Includes option to filter flagged messages.

Tickets Export

Export ticket information including status, priority, and resolution details. Helpful for tracking support performance.

Phones Export

Export phone number data and associated metadata. Includes all connected and disconnected numbers.

Chat Actions Export

Export chat action history including member additions, removals, and role changes. Useful for audit trails.

Export Process

For all export types in the Analytics > Data Exports section:

  1. Select the radio button next to the export type you want
  2. Click the “Export” button at the bottom of the page
  3. The system will generate your export file
  4. Once ready, the file will be downloaded automatically in CSV / Excel format

Additional Export Methods

In addition to the Analytics > Data Exports section, Periskope offers several other ways to export specific data:

Bulk Export from Chat List

You can export group member data in bulk directly from the chat list:

  1. Navigate to the Chat List Screen
  2. Select multiple chats and groups that you would like to export
  3. Click on ‘Group Actions’ and ‘Export Groups’

Chat ID, Chat Name, Contact name & number, admin role and other details will be downloaded in a csv format.

Bulk Export from Tickets Screen

You can export ticket data in bulk from the Tickets screen:

  1. Navigate to the Tickets section
  2. Select the tickets you want to export
  3. Click on the export option in the actions menu

Export Individual Chat Data

You can export data for a single chat directly from the chat interface:

  1. Navigate to the Chats
  2. Open the specific chat you want to export
  3. Click on ‘Export Chat’ on the sidepanel
